Boarding and Dog Day Care


Companion Animal Hospital is pleased to offer boarding and day care in our state of the art, climate controlled, indoor/outdoor facility; the largest of its kind in the Rochester area. To give you peace of mind and your pet a comfortable stay, our facility is kept at the highest standard. We provide:

Boarding Rates:

Medications & Treatments

If your pet requires medications during his/her stay, we gladly provide this service for a small additional fee. Please notify the receptionist, upon check-in, if there are any special veterinary care instructions or treatments you would like done while your pet is here. In the event of illness, we request that you sign a form authorizing our veterinary staff to treat and care for your pet until your return.

*Daily fees vary for those pets requiring more extensive daily treatments and observation.

Playtime

In addition to meeting all of your pet's basic care needs, a staff supervised half-hour of play time is available for all of our boarders. Play time will be tailored to each pet using owner preferences as well as the following options:

Should you not wish to add playtime, walks are available for a smaller fee based upon frequency.

Dog Day Care

Day care is now available to all of our canine companions. Through the course of the day your dog will have breakfast, go for walks with the staff, and have individual play time. This service is ideal for the puppy who is not ready to be home alone, the senior dog that needs attention throughout the day, or the precious companion that you would rather not leave at home alone. All veterinary, grooming, and training services are available in addition to day care while your pet is here.

There are convenient drop-off and pick-up hours allowing for all day play. Day care is also available in full and half day increments.

Vaccination Requirements

We require that all pets who wish to stay at our facility be current on their vaccinations. These include rabies, distemper/parvo, and *kennel cough for dogs and rabies and distemper for cats. If the vaccines were given at another hospital, proper proof is required.

*The vaccine to protect against kennel cough (tracheobronchitis) is required annually for dogs staying with us. It should be administered at least 24 hours prior to boarding for maximum effectiveness. Feel free to ask for details if you have questions regarding this policy.

Baths & Grooming

You may request a bath or full groom during your pet's stay. Please notify our staff upon check-in should you desire this service. Due to the fact that we are a "flea free" facility, we ask all pets follow a flea prevention program. Should fleas be found upon admission, your pet will be treated with Advantage flea control at your expense.

Pet Belongings

While we understand bringing your pet's favorite blanket or toy for comfort, we are unable to accept responsibility for items you leave with your pet. We will make every attempt to keep your pet's belongings with your pet and return them to you upon pick-up; however, on occasion these items do get lost or damaged.

Release Authorization

If someone other than the owner is to pick up a pet after boarding, please let us know at drop-off. We will not release any pet to someone other than the owner if we do not have prior authorization.

HOURS:

Please note: Latest drop-off on any day is one hour prior to closing.
